The North Adelaide International Hotel, Shopping and Restaurant complex was commissioned by an Arab-Swiss Consortium. This five star boutique hotel, designer shops and restaurant complex comprised eight levels including a 3-level underground car park housing 645 cars.
The contemporary design fuses with the classical proportions of the upper levels that empathise with the surrounding architecture. In addition building materials chosen; Granite, Basket Range sandstone and Mintaro slate have been selected for floors, walls and garden beds. Copper panels cap the podium and top level walls.
The complex was designed as a landmark for the city of Adelaide through the North Adelaide gateway. Discerning businesspersons, travellers and tourists favour a North Adelaide address whilst visiting South Australia: This project was to cater for their needs.
